Hi all! I recently visited A La Mode during a trip to New York City, and I was delighted to see that despite the sign out front about a birthday party, they were willing to serve me ice cream! They also carry some retail projects and ship their ice cream, which was free of many common allergens.
Since I couldn’t go inside to try flavors, I had to order three scoops! Here’s what I got. They also threw in a baby bonus scoop on top so that I could try another flavor, without me asking! Cutest presentation ever and I am loving this type of serving cup for ice cream.
Here’s what I got:
Partly Cloudy – Blue cotton candy ice cream with white chocolate chips. I thought they nailed the flavor pretty perfectly, and the chips are really tasty!
Speed Bump – Their version of rocky road has a deep chocolate base with chocolate and white chocolate chips. Yum!
Vanilla – Classic and tasty. Not the creamiest but I enjoyed it a lot.
Chocolate – Quite tasty, with a classic, deeper richness.
Although this wasn’t the creamiest I’ve had, the flavors were made with great ingredients and the service here was absolutely perfection. Go! Especially if you’ve got a kid.
